The Goleta Lions Club and The Lions Sight and Hearing Center have a “Gift of Sight Program” where used glasses, hearing aids, and cellphones are collected at many locations around the community. The glasses are refurbished, calibrated and distributed throughout the world to such countries as Costa Rica, Panama, Kenya, Mexico, Chile, Bolivia, and the Philippines.
If you have used eyeglasses, hearing aids or cell phones that you wish to donate to this worthwhile program you can drop them into the Lions Sight and Hearing Drop Boxes located in Santa Barbara, Goleta and Carpinteria. See below for a list of convenient drop off locations:
